Hello everyone and thanks for visiting The Queen City Academy Charter School website.

Dear Parents, Staff and Community,

It is a professional honor, as well as a personal privilege, to serve as your Chief Academic Officer/Director of The Queen City Academy Charter School. As a resident of the City of Plainfield and a parent, I am keenly aware of the distinctive strengths and the required service that we offer to the community as a viable educational option.

Charter schools are independently-run public schools created by contract (or "charter") to meet specific goals for student learning and achievement. Charter schools bring new resources, personnel and ideas to public education and give families a greater choice within the public school system.

We believe that in attaining excellence it will require a strategic vision, ample resources, courageous leadership infused with innovation and ingenuity to provide the learning environment necessary for developing leaders capable of competing in the global marketplace. Our students have demonstrated the stamina, fortitude, knowledge and skills set necessary to be a success. We are proud of each of their accomplishments.

As a learning institution, we must hold the premise of Jim Collin’s that “good is the enemy of great” as we continue to strive for academic excellence. To that end, we have taken a bold approach to ensure the success of our students for the upcoming school year.

First, our middle school grades transitioning into “single gender” class configurations. Second, we have rigorous professional development to ensure cutting edge pedagogical practices. Lastly, a series of data-driven interim assessments throughout the year.

As The Queen City Academy Charter School moves forward, we continue to launch technology, curriculum and safety initiatives which keep our students on the cutting edge – as well as safe. 
We have much to be proud of in our schools and our city.  As your Chief Academic Officer/Director, I pledge to you that The Queen City Academy Charter School will continue to offer a quality education to your children - so they will remain competitive in the 21st Century.
